APMinerTool is a free Windows utility from the Antpool team, the Bitmain-affiliated mining pool, for managing groups of Bitmain Antminer ASICs on a local network. It scans several IP ranges at once, shows each miner’s status in one table and applies settings in bulk: static IPs, pool details, firmware upgrades and reboots. Small farm operators used it to avoid opening dozens of miner web pages one at a time.
The tool is old. The last widely reported version is 1.0.11, with no newer release documented anywhere we could check, and Antpool’s tools page could not be reached when we checked on 1 October 2026. Back in 2020, owners on BitcoinTalk reported that 1.0.11 already did not recognise Antminer S19-series units. Treat APMinerTool as a legacy tool for older Antminers and read the source-verification section below before you run any copy.
APMinerTool at a glance

| Best for | Batch IP, pool and reboot tasks on older Antminer fleets |
What it does
- Scans several LAN IP segments at the same time and lists every Antminer it finds.
- Monitors miner status in bulk, including hashrate and temperature, so faulty units stand out.
- Assigns static IP addresses in bulk, replacing the DHCP addresses miners get on first boot.
- Sets stratum pool address, worker name and password on many miners at once.
- Pushes a firmware file to a batch of miners and reboots them in groups.
- According to Bitmain’s support material, version 1.0.11 added a miner anti-virus check and an overclocking function.
How miners use it
Give every miner a fixed IP
- Connect the PC running APMinerTool to the same network as the miners.
- Open the static-IP setting, add your IP range and fill in subnet mask, gateway and DNS.
- Enter the range of addresses to hand out (for example 1–120) and use the batch-fill function.
- Start listening, then press the IP button on each miner in turn. The tool offers to add each detected IP to its queue.
- Apply the configuration, then check that every miner answers at its new address.
Point a batch of miners at a pool
- Scan your IP ranges and select the miners to change.
- In the pool configuration, enter
stratum+tcp://pool.example.com:3333, your worker name (for exampleYOUR_ACCOUNT.rack1) and the password the pool expects. - Apply, then confirm on the pool’s dashboard that the workers come online.
Upgrade firmware on several units
- Get the firmware file for your exact model and control board from Bitmain’s official firmware page only.
- Test the upgrade on one miner first and confirm it boots and hashes normally.
- Upgrade the rest in small batches rather than the whole farm at once, so a bad file or power cut does not leave every unit offline.
Install and first run
APMinerTool runs on Windows 7 or later and needs the PC on the same LAN as the miners. It does not work across the internet. Run it from a machine you control, preferably on the same isolated network segment as the miners.
Verify the source. Antpool’s tools page is the official source, but it was unreachable from our checks on 1 October 2026. Copies of APMinerTool are spread across third-party download sites and personal GitHub accounts. At least one such repository ships the tool in a RAR archive and tells users to ignore antivirus warnings. Do not trust a copy just because it uses the name. Prefer a copy linked from Antpool’s or Bitmain’s own pages, check that the version is 1.0.11 (anything claiming a much higher version number is not the Antpool tool), and scan the file with your antivirus and a multi-engine scanner before running it.
Antivirus warnings. Tools that scan networks and push firmware to devices can be flagged as potentially unwanted software. That is not proof the file is malicious, but it is a reason to be careful about where it came from. Do not turn off protection for the whole system.
Firmware safety. A failed or wrong firmware flash can leave a miner unbootable, and Bitmain has published support warnings about malware that targets Antminers. Only push firmware downloaded from Bitmain’s official site, and only manage miners you own or are authorised to manage.
Limitations
- Dormant: no documented release after 1.0.11, and the official download page could not be reached during our check.
- Antminer only. Whatsminer, Avalon and other brands are not supported.
- Owners reported back in 2020 that it does not recognise S19-series miners, and newer generations are less likely still to work.
- Windows only, closed source, and no public changelog.
- It manages settings but does not tune efficiency. Whether mining pays depends on your electricity cost, hardware and the Bitcoin price.
APMinerTool vs alternatives
For newer Antminers, owners in the same BitcoinTalk thread pointed to BTC Tools from BTC.com, which offers similar batch scanning, IP and pool configuration. If you want tuning as well as management, custom firmware such as Braiins OS or LuxOS comes with its own fleet tools: Braiins Toolbox and Luxor Commander. For a web dashboard covering ASICs and GPU rigs together, see Hive OS.
FAQ
What is APMinerTool used for?
Managing many Antminers on one LAN: finding them, checking status, assigning static IPs, setting pools, upgrading firmware and rebooting in batches.
Where can I get the APMinerTool download?
The official source is the tools section of Antpool’s website. Avoid copies whose origin you cannot trace, and verify any file before you run it.
Is APMinerTool safe?
The genuine Antpool tool is legitimate, but because the official page is hard to reach, many unofficial copies circulate. Check the source and version and scan the file first.
Does APMinerTool work with the Antminer S19 or S21?
Users reported that 1.0.11 does not recognise S19-series units, and nothing suggests later models are supported. Use a current management tool or your firmware’s own tools for these.
What is the latest APMinerTool version?
Version 1.0.11. Pages offering much higher version numbers are not describing the Antpool tool.
What is a good APMinerTool alternative?
BTC Tools for basic batch management, or the fleet tools that ship with Braiins OS and LuxOS if you also want tuning.
